Legoland Hotel Fire Lane Paved With Permeable Pavers Drivable Grass®!

(April 15, 2013 – CARLSBAD, CA) – Legoland California, owned by Merlin Entertainment, the 2nd largest theme park company in the world, opened the nation’s first Lego-themed hotel on Friday, April 5th, 2013 in Carlsbad, CA.

Delawie an architect firm located in San Diego, CA designed the hotel and the landscape Architect is Irri’scape Construction.

Part of the design of the Legoland Hotel is the fire lane located in the back of the hotel.  Fire lanes ensure the access of safety equipment to the structure in the event of an emergency.  Fire lanes are not intended for normal vehicle traffic.  And, there are certain requirements that must be met when designing a fire lane.
